2008 Health Rocks Health Rocks is a National 4-H program to create awareness about drugs, alcochol and tobacco.  Avoyelles parish is one of 5 other parishes in the state of Louisiana which had the opportunity to be a Health Rocks parish for the 2008-2009 school year. The students who attend Heatlh Rocks training visit 10 stations and work on decision making, communication, become aware of media ploys regarding tobacco and alcohol.  The youth are asked to discuss ways to say "NO" and also are able to view what the effects of one cigarette may have on their lungs.
