4-H Day At The Capitol
A group of Avoyelles 4-H'ers gathered early in the morning to travel to Baton Rouge to visit the Louisiana State Capitol. It's an annual event where children from across the state visit with each other as well as with their state representatives, senators and 4-H volunteers.
The 4-H'ers learn how democracy works and are allowed to cruise around the Capitol -- getting an inside look inside the Senate and the House of Representatives.
If you are interested in participating in June of 2010, please do not hesitate to contact your local 4-H office. We take this trip each summer.[Image: 4-H]
