[Image: Cottonport]Cottonport Elementary 4-H'ers in Avoyelles parish are really helping the environment with their CRD project this year. The students are bringing in the bags in their book sacks and placing them in a collection bin in one location in the school. From there the plastic bags will be transported to a recycling facility. They began this project just before Christmas and they have collected a tremendous amount.
This project is low maintenance, free, and everyone can contribute. It’s a winning idea and we’re hopeful that the other schools in the parish will begin this very worthwhile project too. Way to GEAUX Cottonport Elementary 4-H!
