Bienville Parish 4-H Excels in Baton Rouge!
Eighteen of Bienville Parish 4-H’s teens attended 4-H University at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge June 23-26, 2009. 4-H University provides youth the opportunity to participate in various contests and Clover College. Clover College is a series of educational sessions designed for the youth to bring back and impact their community. Four received blue ribbons in their contest. Congratulations to Justin Griffith, Darrien Harris, Ke’tara Patterson and Trevor Ryder.
As the result of 4-H U, Bienville Parish now has three youth on state boards and one North Central Regional Representative serving on the state Executive Board. Congratulations to Morgan Dison and Gabi MaGee, who will be serving on the state Citizenship Board; Olivia Pepper, who will be serving on the state Fashion Board; and Kayla Hullaby, North Central Regional Representative.
