JET Returns
The Bienville Parish Police Jury's JET (Jurors Empowering Teens) Program will take off on Monday, June 29, 2009. This summer youth enrichment program will employ 16-18 year old students at various jobs during their summer break. The program will employ two 4-H members and one non-4-H member from each police jury district. This program will not only provide a valuable first employment experience, but also focus on the development of financial management skills and workforce ethics.
Important Dates:
April 16 LSU Mobile Unit at Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days (Interview Skills at 4:30; JET at 5:40 p.m.)
April 20 All applications due to Police Jury Office by 4:00 p.m.
April 21-24 Applications reviewed and telephone notification for interviews
April 28 Interviews for Police Jury Districts 1, 2, 3
April 29 Interviews for Police Jury Districts 4, 5
April 30 Interviews for Police Jury Districts 6, 7
May 1 Notification to Successful Applicants
June 29 JET begins
July 31 JET ends
