Kids In The Kitchen

Our Kids In The Kitchen class was held on July 14-18, 2008 from 9:00 AM to noon.  Students learned about the food pyramid, healthy snacks, manners, table setting, garnishing foods, and how to prepare a great meal for themselves and their parents. Parents were invited to attend a lunch on Friday to share the meal their children cooked. Each student received a personalized apron and a notebook with all the information about each days activities. The cost for the class was $ 30.00 and it was taught by our Food & Nutrition Agent, Connie Aclin, and our Family & Child Specialist Agent, Dianne Glasgow.

We have great success with our 2008 Kids In the Kitchen program and we can not wait until 2009 for our next class.
