Dear 4-H Member & Parent:
Caddo 4-H welcomes you to a world of fun & lifelong educational opportunities. 4-H’ers develop leadership skills, become better citizens through service-learning projects and develop life skills while participating in science, engineering and technology, healthy living and citizenship activities.
Parents, the first step to join the largest youth organization in the world is to make sure your youth has completed their 4-H enrollment card to be returned to their 4-H leader at their school club.
As a 4-H member, you will receive one project book to be completed at home. This book provides an additional learning opportunity. After completing the book, it can be submitted for competition in the spring. If your child would like an additional book, contact the 4-H Office at 226-6805 for further information. Some of our project areas include photography, communications, outdoor skills, character education, nutrition, pets, computers and livestock.
The second step is to learn the 4-H pledge and demonstrate your “Green Knowledge.”
4-H PLEDGE
I pledge
My Head to clearer thinking
My Heart to greater loyalty
My Hands to larger service &
My Health to better living for my club, my community, my country and my world.
4-H COLORS
Green and white are the 4-H Colors. Green is emblematic of springtime, life and youth; white symbolizes high ideas.
THE 4-H EMBLEM
The national 4-H emblem is a green four-leaf clover with the letter “H” on each leaf.
The 4-H motto is
“To Make the Best Better.”
We look forward to seeing you at all the club meetings in 2009-10.
