Photography Contest

The Caldwell 4-H Photography Contest gives members the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to acquire and evaluate information, apply reasoning skills to interpret information and demonstrate their decision making skills and creativity. Entries for the 4-H Photography Contest are due in the 4-H office on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011. Entries can be given to the 4-H leader at your school or can be brought to the 4-H office located at 106 Jackson Street in Columbia, La. 

Contest categories are:

Category I:  A Story or a Series

Category II:  People, Structures or Buildings

Category III:  Plants or Animals

Rules
1. Photos must be taken by the 4-H Club member during the 2011 calendar year.
2. Each category consists of five to six photographs, equally spaced on a sheet of 22" x 28" poster paper. Write a short caption under each photo.
3. Include your name, school, grade and category on the back of the poster in the upper left hand corner.
4. 4-H'ers may enter in one to three categories.

Scorecard
 60 points:  Appropriateness of photographs                                
 20 points:  Clarity of photographs (able to see picture clearly) 
 20 points:  Neatness of work    
100 points: Total                               
                                                                   
Awards
Cash awards will be given to the first, second and third place winners in each category.
