Character Corner
A person of character is Respectful. Respect involves living by the Golden Rule (treat others the way you want to be treated), being couteous and polite to others and discussing problems.

Are You Getting Enough?
Allowance - you probably think of MONEY when you hear this word. But did you know that there is a certain amount of food allowances you should get each day? Spend your calories like you spend your money. Go to www.mypyramid.com to find out what your recommended daily allowances of each food group are. There you will find out how many servings from each food group you should make sure to get each day. Each food group provides you with different nutrients that help your body grow and stay healthy. For example, milk gives you calcium for your bones.

Financial Management
Gardening will be the focus for October club meetings. How much does it cost to have a small raised garden at your business or home? Preparation, care of, planting and harvesting are all factors of this kind of gardening.
