[Image: fishing]Fishing, sometimes called angling, is one of the most popular year-round activities in Louisiana. You can join the fun with other anglers in the Cameron Parish Fishing Sports Club as you learn about fish and their environment. Fun and fishing while you learn!
What can I do in the Cameron Parish Fishing Sports Club?
• Experiment with different kinds of fishing gear.
• Catch fish and learn about fish ecology.
• Clean and cook your catch.
• Explore careers related to fishing.
• Appreciate fishing as a life-long form of recreation.
Membership is open to all Cameron Parish 4-H members. Club meeting, workshop, training and fishing event dates will be announced to those who send in the registration form below. The club will meet several times during the year and participate in select sporting/fishing events around the parish. Club dues are $4.00, which should be sent with registration. The Fishing Sports project book costs $5.00.
Mrs. Margaret Shove, 4-H Volunteer Leader, has gone through training to learn lots of fun and exciting things about fishing, casting, water ecology and tackle making. Mrs. Margaret is looking forward to guiding club members into a greater appreciation of Cameron Parish water resources.
