This year parish 4-H clubs are being asked to participate in the 2009 statewide service project. Beginning on September 1, 2009, clubs should start collecting aluminum cans or pull tabs. Our parish has been challenged to collect 1million aluminum cans or pull tabs to help benefit this program. If cans are collected they need to be rinsed out and flattened. Decorate a container for your club and get started in assisting with this worthwhile program. Competition between clubs will be based on number of pounds collected. Top clubs will be recognized at 4-H Achievement Days.
