Fast Food Tips

Try these helpful tips when ordering at  fast food restaurants:

•Order grilled items:  Most menus offer both fried and grilled options - go for the grilled.

• Make substitutions – have it your way:  Skip the mayo and opt for mustard; load up on lettuce, tomatoes and pickles.  Eating Mexican? Ask for salsa instead of sour cream.

• Don’t “super size” it:  Be aware of portion sizes. Try a kid's meal or share a meal with your spouse or friend.

• Opt for a healthier side item:  Choose the salad or fruit instead of the fries.

• Don't drink calories:  Sodas contain "empty" calories. Ask for water, milk or 100% juice.
