4-H Camp

East Carroll Parish 4-H'ers pariticpated in 4-H Camp July 13-17, 2009,at Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center in Pollock, Louisiana.

Camping is one of the most valuable experiences a child can have. It's both a learning experience that helps boys and girls appreciate the outdoors and gain valuable life skills. The 4-H camping program provides an excellent opportunity for youth to experience hands-on interactive activities that help teach them independence, responsibility and teamwork.

4-H Camp involves a five-day session of typical camping experiences -- swimming, arts and crafts, archery and canoeing. But campers can pick a special activity to pursue, as well.

For more information about Camp Grant Walker and a virtual tour of the facilities, visit the Camp Web site.
