4-H is a club...a really big club! The 4-H Club is the largest youth organization in the United States! Louisiana has more than 85,000 4-H members in more than 1,700 clubs. In East Carroll Parish, there are more than 600 4-H members participating in 12 different clubs that are organized in all the schools.

Parish Summary
East Carroll Parish is primarily an agricultural production area that produces cotton, rice, corn, grain sorghum, soybeans and wheat that are transported from farms to processing facilities. Grain elevators on the Mississippi River, cotton gins/warehouses and nearby rice elevators facilitate movement of agricultural commodities into trade channels.

East Carroll Parish is the first parish you will visit when entering the state from Arkansas. East Carroll Parish is best known for its beautiful seven-mile, cypress tree-lined, oxbow lake that gives the town of Lake Providence its name.
