CATCH THE BIG ONE AT EVANGELINE 4-H FISHING CLINIC
Do you like to fish? Or would like to learn basic skills for fishing? Well, we have just the thing for you! The Evangeline 4-H Fishing Clinic will be held on Tuesday, April 14,2009 at Chicot State Park from 9:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. This activity will take place at the NORTH FISHING PIER. This workshop is open to ALL 4TH - 8TH GRADERS.
MORNING SESSIONS WILL INCLUDE "HANDS ON" ACTIVITIES:
FISH IDENTIFICATION
KNOT TYING
CASTING INSTRUCTIONS
GPS/GIS SKILLS WATER SAFETY
FISHERIES MANAGEMENT AND REGULATIONS
AFTERNOON SESSION
FISHING TOURNAMENT
A limited number of fishing poles will be provided on this day. If you own a fishing pole, please bring it. We will provide live bait, however you may bring your own lures. There will be a registration fee of $5.00 and a t-shirt for $6.00. Send you registration form, fee and t-shirt (optional) money to the 4-H Office by March 30TH. Make check payable to the Evangeline 4-H Foundation. Meal and snacks will be provided.
