The 4-H “Cotton Pickin Pet Show” was held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Ville Platte Civic Center. There were more than 120 pets entered in the show this year. A congratulations going out to all 4-H club members participating in this annual event.
The judges for the event were: Tami Courville, Ashley Clark, Maria Perron, Becky Thomas, Lacey Fontenot, Jennie Semien and Laura Whittington of Evangeline Bank and Trust. Sandy Veillon, Veronica Soileau, Riikeja Hall, Elaine Latour and Becky Reed coordinated the judges and organized treats for exhibitors and pets. They are all employees of the Evangeline Bank and Trust Company, which gave time from work to assist with Evangeline Parish 4-H Pet Show and donated supplies for this activity. They volunteered their time and efforts and did an excellent job. A special “Thanks” to each of them.
The 4-H “Cotton Pickin Pet Show” is co-sponsored by the Cotton Festival Association, the Evangeline Bank and Trust Company, and the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service, a branch of the LSU Agriculture Center.
