Each project must be part of an organized and supervised program of work. The project must be planned and operated with the help of the 4-H agent, produce sufficient income to repay the loan, and provide the youth with practical business and educational experience.
To qualify for a loan, an applicant: must be a citizen of the United States, be between 10 and 20 years old, live in a town of less than 10,000 people, be unable to obtain a loan from other sources, and conduct a modest income-producing project in a supervised program of work. The maximum amount for FSA youth loans is $5,000.00. For more information contact Mr. Louis LaFleur at 337-783-2061 or the 4-H Office.

1. Collect aluminum cans or pop tops.
2. Take them to a recycling center.
3. Report the weight of the aluminum turned in and the amount of money donated to the parish agents.
The money collected will then be sent to the Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans. The project runs from September 1-April 23, 2010.

The slogan will be used on all publicity for camp and on the camp T-shirt. The state winner will receive a monetary award.
Think fast - the deadline is September 25th. Include on the back of your entry: your full name and age, school, 4-H club name and parish, complete mailing address, and telephone number.
