Five contestants competed in the Franklin Parish Pet Show this year held April 24, 2008 at the 4-H Livestock Barn. Contestants entered their animals in different divisions ranging from Biggest Ears to Best Dressed.
Those placing in the Dog Category were, Jessi Moore, Franklin Academy, received 1st place Prettiest, 3rd place Longest Tail , 2nd place Best Trick , 2nd place Best Groomed , 3rd place Best Dressed , and 1st Runner Up Overall. Rae Lockard, Franklin Academy, received 2nd place Prettiest , 1st place Longest Tail, 3rd place Best Trick, 1st place Best Groomed, 2nd place Biggest Ears, 2nd place Best Dressed, and Best of Show Overall. Madeline Martin, Gilbert Jr. High, received 3rd place Prettiest and 2nd place Longest Tail. Dakota Stephens, Franklin Academy, received 1st place Best Trick, 3rd place Biggest Ears, 1st place Best Dressed, and Next Best Qualifier Overall. Taylor Carraway, Franklin Parish High School, received 3rd Place Best Groomed and 1st Place Biggest Ears.
Taylor Carraway, Franklin Parish High School, placed First in Every Cat Division along with Best of Show Overall.
