more... > 4-H > Contests > Results > 2009 Sugarcane Exhibit Contest & Judging Contest [Image: Sugarcane varieties] Area producers and 4-H members participated in the Sugarcane Exhibits and Judging Contest during the Annual Sugarcane Festival, September 25-26, 2009. 2009 Iberia Parish Sugar Cookery Results [Image: Cookie plate] More than 350 types of sweets were entered into the Iberia 4-H Sugar Cookery Contest on September 25, 2009, at the Cyr-Gates Community Center in New Iberia. 4-H'ers from across the parish competed in this annual contest sponsored by the Louisiana Sugarcane Festival Association and Cajun Sugar Co-Op. Results are listed by division and then alphabetically by club. 2009 Area Commodity Cookery Contest [Image: Iberia parish photo] The 2009 Area Commodity Cookery Contest was held in Jennings on Wednesday, March 25, at the Jeff Davis Multi-Purpose Building. Results are attached. 2009 Record Book Results [Image: 4-H Clover] Since the early 1900's, 4-H Record Book competition has been judged annually. Initially, competitions focused on project skill development, primarily in agricultural areas. Now, 4-H Record Book competitions measure members leadership development, citizenship activities and personal growth as well as project proficiency. 4-H Record Books may be judged at the parish and state levels.  more articles... 2009 4-H Achievement Day Results [Image: picture] The 2009 4-H Achievement Day was held Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Westgate High School. Over 400 4-H'ers, parents and volunteers participated in this annual event. Four-H'ers were able to participated in 35 different contests. 2008 Journey Into Jobs Results [Image: picture] Journey Into Jobs was held December 4 at Sugarland Elementary. This is an annual event where 4-H'ers interview people representing various jobs/careers, as well as being interviewed by judges.
