The term producer as it applies in this class is defined as follows: A producer is the person or persons who actually produce the sugarcane they are exhibiting on their own operational unit.
1. All exhibitors of sugarcane must be bonafide producers.
2. All exhibitors must have had five (5) or more acres of cane on their farming operation in 2008.
3. A producer cannot enter more than one exhibit under the same premium number.
4. A producer’s exhibit will be disqualified if the sugarcane does not come from the producer's own farming operation.
Three (3) stalks make an exhibit, and you may enter an exhibit in as many classes as you wish.
There will be classes and awards for the following varieties:
LCP 85-384 L 01-283 HoCP 91-555
Ho 95-988 HoCP 96-540 L 97-128
L99-226 L99-233 HoCP 00-950
Exhibits can be brought to the Cyr-Gates Community Center located in Iberia City Park on Thursday, September 24, between 3 p..m. and 6 p.m., or Friday, September 25, from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m.
