This volume is for the 2009-2010 school year, and the newsletters are published from September to May.

Inside this Issue
The November Junior Leader Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, in the banquet room of Willow Wood Park. We will meet from 5:30-6:45 pm. Starting at 5:30 sharp we will start our leader lessons, where we will do some activities from the leadership project book. If your last name starts with: A-B —> Bring candy;C-G —> Bring cups;H-M —>Bring chips;N-R—> Bring cookies;S-Z —>Bring a 2 liter soda
Leadership Opportunities:
1. Nursing Home BINGO is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 16, at Belle Teche Nursing Home on Admiral Doyle from 5:15-6:30 p.m.. Bring hygiene items to give away.
2. Junior Leaders are needed to help run Fall Fun Day on November 7 at Iberia Middle School. If you signed up to help, don’t forget to be there at 7:45 a.m.!!
Community Service Opportunities:
1.Bring your old magazines or phone books to the meeting. Our goal is for every Junior Leader to bring at least two items to each meeting (hopefully more!!). Let’s…Keep it Green and Recycle!!
2.Help out a child this Christmas and bring a NEW Toy to our next Junior Leader Meeting. We will then take these NEW Toys and donate them to Toys for Tots!!
Iberia 4-H Text Message Group:
Join our 4-H text group by texting the word “jrleaders” (spelt out just like it is written in the quotation marks) to 25278 to receive updates about upcoming 4-H events!!

The October Junior Leader Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, in the extension meeting room located in the basement of the Courthouse. We will meet from 5:30-6:45 pm.

How Much Does it Cost to be a Member?
If you plan on joining the 2009 Iberia 4-H Junior Leader Club at the September Meeting, please come prepared! Membership dues will vary this year. For those members who do not need to purchase a brown Born Leader T-shirt, dues will be $10. For those members who need to purchase a brown Born Leader T-shirt, dues will be $15. We ask that you DO NOT pay in cash. Please make all checks or money orders payable to the Iberia 4-H Foundation, with Junior Leader Dues in the memo field of the check.
