Hurricane Equine Evacuation Information
Please see the following for the equine evacuation sites available in the event that a tropical storm or hurricane impacts our area.

Get ready before a hurricane is coming!
(Distributed 05/26/09) During a hurricane, you need some supplies just to survive. But many of those supplies are hard to find if you wait until a storm is approaching. So it’s better to make sure you’ve got some of the essentials now, according to experts with the LSU AgCenter.

2009 State 4-H Livestock Show Results

The annual State 4-H Livestock Show was held at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, LA February 14-21, 2009. Iberia Parish was well represented with 4-H'ers participating in breeding, commercial heifer, market animals and showmanship events. Four-H'ers also participated in the State 4-H Broiler Show and Poultry Showmanship as well as the Premeir Exhibitor Contests. Complete results are included.

Digital TV Transition

After February 17, 2009, full-power TV stations will broadcast only in digital. The DTV transition will affect those who watch free over-the-air television (through a rooftop antenna or "rabbit ears"). Please see attached to find what you need to know about DTV.
