Rice Run- Junior Leaders assisted with the Annual Rice Run sponsored by the Rice Council on September 19, 2009, in Jennings, La. The Junior Leaders assisted with registration, timekeeping, paperwork, refreshments and cleanup for this event. Some also ran in the rice run. Junior Leaders participating included Brandi Robinson, Kylie Derks, Bailey Broussard, Lexi Doise, Jacob Broussard, Lauren Savoie, Allyson Deshotel, Hunter Doise, Rachel Brown, Daniel Guinn, Sarah Ardoin, Saige Doise, Caroline Robertson, Chase Comeaux, Joel Guinn, Gabrielle Briscoe, Ali Moore, Leah Moore, Malori Williamson, Courtney Trahan, Laiha Bergeaux, Christian Bergeaux, Paige Granger, Taylor Granger and Maggie Mott.
Officer Training-Junior Leaders assisted with 4-H Officer Training on September 22, 2009, at Welsh Elementary. Jeff Davis 4-H Junior Leaders teaching the 4-H Club officers about their officer responsibilities included: Rachel Brown, Amber Estes, Mariah Guillory, Malori Williamson, Courtney Trahan, Christopher McVicker, Brittany Naquin, Natalie Trahan, Joel Berken, Saige Doise, Lexi Doise, Laiha Bergeaux, Christian Bergeaux, Gabrielle Briscoe, Dillon Richard and Olivia Watkins.
Fair Booth-The Junior Leader Educational Fair Boot[Image: Jr. Leader News]h for this year was titled “Don’t Can the Water Bottle.” The booth focused on the importance of recycling water bottles and presented facts on the environmental benefits of recycling water bottles. The Junior Leaders working to provide this educational booth included: Saige Doise, Joel Guinn, Olivia Watkins, Kerri Duhon, Cassi Duhon, Laiha Bergeaux, Christian Bergeaux, Kaitlyn Landry, Madalyn Pousson, Caroline Robertson, Lexi Doise, Amber Estes, Kyler Royer, Dillion Richard and Beau Monceaux.

Fishing Tournament- The Junior Leaders assisted with the Southwest Veterans Home Fishing Tournament on October 17. Junior Leaders assisted with serving beverages, helping veterans fish, bait and tackle and transporting veterans to and from the fishing pond.
