Jeff Davis 4-H Outdoor Skills Program
The 4-H shooting sports program is designed to teach youth life skills through hands on activities through a coach-pupil method. These methods include teaching youth the fundamentals of firearm safety and marksmanship in shooting skills. The program's goal is not only in increase safety and shooting abilities of our youth, but to use the firearm or archery equipment as the primary tool used to teach youth reaponsibility, independance, leadership and character.
The Jeff Davis 4-H Shooting Sports program has been a great success. This year is our 4th year with one hunderd twenty one youth having received insturction in the safe handling of firearms and archery equipment while developing self-confidence, independence and gaining leadership abilities.
