Thirty Jefferson Parish 4-H members joined members from Orleans, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, St. Charles, St. John, East Carroll, and Pointe Coupee parishes for an exciting week of good times and good friends. The week long camp was held at the Grant Walker Educational Center in Pollock, LA. Campers enjoyed educational tracks along with many recreational activities.
Jefferson Parish East Bank participants included: Nia Johnson, Ariel Parker, Ambria Price, Emily Sharpe, Kaleb Branch, and Elijah Yen from Birney Elementary; Blake Roussel and Collin Woods from Audubon Elementary; Jackie Elmer, Mackenzie Silva, and Madison Silva from St. Philip Neri Elementary; Jacob Silvestri from Ellis Elementary; Brooke Harper from Haynes Middle School; Victoria Shields from Harris Middle School; and Kylie Spain from Meisler Middle School.
West Bank campers: Ke’Vonn Faulkner and Tasha Nguyen from Solis Elementary; Alissa Mamolo, Carlie Martinez, Imaige Matherne, Brianna Schmidt, Brook Wilks, Tyler Poteet, Colt Schmidt, Anne Marie Dowell, and Matthew Victoriano from Kerner Elementary; Isela Shamp, Dae’Je Veal, Michaela Winesberry, and Matthew Blair from Estelle Elementary.
Members were accompanied by Camp Counselors Lucero Diaz and Amara Jackson from Grace King High School as well as Kavon Faili from Word of Life Academy and Jeremy Balint, Home School student. Ann Gauthier and Chantel Williams, LSU Ag Center Agents from Jefferson Parish also accompanied the camp group.
