County Agent speaks to Natchitoches Garden Club

Hubert Wilkerson, county agent of Natchitoches Parish AgCenter extension service, recently spoke at the Natchitoches Garden Club. Mr. Wilkerson gave them the history of the Land Grant Colleges and the extension service. He also told them about all the resources that the AgCenter has to help them.

The Area Cookery Contest was held April 16, 2008 at the LA Technical College in Shreveport. Participants from Natchitoches Parish won nine awards.

Youth from Natchitoches Parish were among more than 75 4-H club members and volunteers participated in the annual 4-H Food & Fitness Camp held Feb. 23-24 at Camp Grant Walker.

Eleven people from Northwest Louisiana were inducted into the Louisiana 4-H Hall of Fame here on March 7 including two inductees from Natchitoches Parish, Rick Hargis and Idell Snowden.
