Nathaniel Burtan, a senior at Isadore Newman High School in New Orleans, has been elected to serve as a 4-H regional representative for the 2009-2010 school year. He will be representing the South-Central/Crescent region, which consists of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard and the surrounding parishes. Nathaniel is a member of the Orleans Parish Junior Leader club through the University of New Orleans Upward Bound Program. Nathaniel said he is very excited about this opportunity and is looking forward to representing not only Orleans Parish but also all of the South-Central/Crescent region. He is looking forward to building a quality 4-H program in Orleans Parish as well as providing information about the types of programs that work well with youth in this region.
