[Image: 4-H "U" delegation]Thirty-seven 4-H teens from Rapides Parish participated in the 95th annual gathering of 4-H'ers in June known as 4-H University. 4-H U was held on the LSU-Baton Rouge campus where 4-H'ers participated in subject-matter competitions, hands-on educational activities and fun social events.
Heather Fontenot, a 2009 graduate, was honored at the Awards Banquet where she was presented the American Legion Scholarship and Louisiana 4-H Foundation Scholarship. Sara Munsen was selected as a first-year member of the state 4-H Food and Fitness Board. Hannah Munsen was selected as a second-year member on the state 4-H Fashion Board.
Four local 4-H volunteers, Liz Pace, Tracey Flynn, Becky Hartley, and Chris Soileau served as chaperones along with the 4-H agents Ophelia Allen, Lois Brister and Rodney Johnson.
