Congratulations to D. J. Rambin, who was elected to serve as the Northwest Regional Representative on the State 4-H Executive Committee. The election was held at 4-H University in Baton Rouge, June 19-22, 2007. In addition to contests and educational sessions, 4-H’ers were chosen to serve as state 4-H Executive Committee officers and regional representatives. D. J. will serve the Northwest Region which covers Bossier, Caddo, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine and Webster parishes.

D. J. is looking forward to attending many state events throughout this year. The State 4-H Executive Committee helps plan statewide 4-H activities including the following: Statewide Service Learning Project, Junior Leadership Conference, and 4-H University (formerly Short Course).

D. J. remind 4-H’ers that the more you put into 4-H, the more you will get back – accomplishments, all expense paid trips, unforgettable experiences, as well as amazing, lifelong friendships.

Agents, Cindy Smith and David Yount, Jr., of the Red River Parish office of the LSU AgCenter would like to give a well earned pat on the back to D. J. We are very proud of all of her accomplishments in 4-H. For additional information on 4-H in Red River Parish, call (318) 932-4342 or (318) 932-4242.
