4-H Museum Grand Opening

On Saturday, July 18, 2009, the grand opening of the 4-H Museum in Manursa, Louisiana, took place. Red River Parish agent Cindy Smith and volunteer Nancy Nettles attended the event to see the different features of the museum.  Lou Powell and her grandson, 4-H member Michael Arnold, also attended the event. Powell's late husband Joe Don Powell, who once served as an LSU AgCenter agent in Red River Parish was one of the many inductees in the 4-H Hall of Fame. Nettles, a longtime volunteer in Red River Parish, also is in the state 4-H Hall of Fame.
