[Image: M. Arnold]Red River Parish 4-H member Michael Arnold was selected to participate in the Junior Wildlife Tour. Twelve 4-H members in grades 4-8 were selected statewide. 4-H record books on Discovering 4-H, wildlife, environment, insects and aquaculture were submitted as part of the competition. The trip will be in August at the LUMCON (Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium) facility in Fouchon.
The consortium was formed to coordinate and stimulate Louisiana’s activities in marine research and education. LUMCON provides coastal laboratory facilities to Louisiana universities and conducts in-house research and educational programs in the marine sciences.
