Swimming, canoeing, archery, volleyball, basketball, softball, kickball, ping pong, parachute games, line dancing, arts, crafts and more...

Campers from Red River Parsih 4-H had one of the most valuable experiences a child can have in one week. Camp was a learning experience that helped boys and girls appreciate the outdoors, living together as a group, getting along with others and learning about people with different interests and backgrounds.

Many fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade boys and girls participate in 4-H Camp Grant Walker from around Louisiana. The camp is held at the LSU AgCenter’s Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center, an 80-acre campsite near Pollock, La., on Highway 8 about 15 miles northeast of Alexandria, La.

Red River Parish 4-Her’s attended camp the week of June 8-12. Campers were Dustin Horton, Brenton Swayze, Tyler McCartney, Garrett Anderson, Justin Scott, Jahron Speed, Grace Shaver, Aaliyah Luke, Ziaya Drake, Kaylan Coker, Makayla Gibson, Carmen Latiolais, Yancy Legrande, Natalie Webb, Isha Demery, Tameria Brisker, Erica Grant, Michael Arnold, Kade Anderson, Gerone Davis, Gretchen Shaver and Harley Almond.
