| [Image: Michael Arnold]Camp Grant Walker Archery shoot-off On Saturday, August 8, 2009, Red River Parish 4-H member Michael Arnold attended the Camp Grant Walker Archery Shoot-off in Pollock, La. During the week of Summer Camp that Red River Parish 4-H members attend in July, Michael scored in the Top 5 of the week, winning fourth place in the archery division. By doing so, he earned a chance to compete in the Camp Grant Walker Archery Shoot-off. With 29 participants in the shoot-off, Michael placed eighth in that competition. |

| [Image: 2009 state shooting sport]Louisiana 4-H Outdoor Skills 2009 State Competition The Louisiana 4-H Outdoor Skills 2009 state competition was held Friday, May 1, in Lake Charles. Red River Parish 4-Her’s Cole Hinds (13 years old) and Tyler McCartney (12) of Riverdale Academy competed in the modified trap division. McCartney shot a 45 out of 50 and Hinds shot a 39 out of 50. |
