State Board Oppourtunities
[Image: 4-H Logo]Interested in participating in 4-H at the state level? Then serving on one of the many State Boards may be for your. There are five State Boards that you can get involved with.
State 4-H Executive Committee - The State Executive Committee is made up of the State Officers, District Representatives and National Conference Delegates. The Executive Committee Meets twice a year in July and January. This board is responsible for planning Jr. Leadership Conference (JLC), 4-H University and serving as an ambassador for 4-H across the state. In order to become a member of the State 4-H Executive Committee you must run for a State Office or District Representative position or be chosen as a National Conference Delegate.
Fashion Board - The Fashion Board meets twice a year in July and January. The Fashion Board is responsible for planning workshops at Fashion Camp for younger 4-H members, the Fashion Revue at 4-H University and programs at Jr. Leadership Conference (JLC). Board members are selected through an application and interview process. Interviews will be conducted at 4-H University.
Tech (SET) Board - The Science, Engineering and Technology Board meets twice a year in July and January. The SET Board is responsible for planning activities at LOST Camp, assisting with the 4-H Web Site, providing technical assistance at Jr. Leadership Conference (JLC) and help with the quaterly SET Newsletter. Selections will be made through written application and an interview. Interviews will be conducted at 4-H University.
Food & Fitness Board - The Food and Fitness Board meets twice a year in July and January. The Food and Fitness Board is responsible for planning Food and Fitness Camp for younger 4-H members and conduct a training session at Jr. Leadership Conference (JLC). Selections will be made through written application and an interview. Interviews will be conducted at 4-H University.
4-H University Event Production (UKrew) - If you are interested in learning about the technical side of producing a large event like 4-H University, then you should consider applying for the UKrew. UKrew members will not participate in a contest or Cover College but will be responsible for setting up equiptment, reporting, video taping and photographing the contest at 4-H U, Clover College, the Cyber Cafe and displaying the results at the night assemblies. Selections will be made based on the submission of an application to the UKrew coordinator. Get involved by submitting an application to 4-H Agent Lauren Faust by May 10, 2008.
