[Image: Campfire]Learn some new skills and more about camping while having fun along the Bogue Chitto River. An Adventures Camp will be offered on Friday and Saturday, November 6 - 7, 2009, through the 4-H Outdoor Skills Program. This activity will be held at the Canoe & Trail Outpost located at 118 Dillons Bridge Road in Tylertown, Mississippi.
Activities planned include camping along the river, fishing, knot tying, outdoor cooking, snake identification, GPS and boating safety and a three-hour canoe trip along the river on Saturday. Casting and fishing contests are also planned.
Boating safety training will be provided by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Lessons on identification of the snakes of Louisiana will be provided by Dr. Don Reed, Wildlife Specialist with the LSU AgCenter.
