Arbor Day Poster Contest Winners

'Trees are Terrific Inside and Out'

Many students participated in the Arbor Day poster contest. The theme was 'Trees are Terrific Inside and Out!' Congratulations to those students who participated in the Arbor Day poster contest. Thanks to Dr. Amy Westbrook, Superintendent, the principals, secretaries, students and parents.

St. Helena Central Elementary participants were: Chloe Jackson, Henry LaFrance and Brittany Jackson.

St. Helena Central Middle School participants were: Darrell Griffin, Sheenique Seals, Latrone Williams, Michael Dunn, Quinesha Adams, Destiny Morris, Quinton Griffin, Raven Jackson and Alex.

St. Helena Central High School participants were: Keiara Johnson and Dominque Jackson.

1st Place: Sheenique Lee, 5th grade; 2nd Place: Keiara Johnson, 9th grade; 3rd Place: Da’rrell Griffin, 8th grade.

Each of these students received a stipend. Stipends were donated by Richardson's Funeral Home Amite, La., St. Helena Parish Tourist Commission and Butler's Grill. A “Big Thanks” to Mr. Thaddeus Richardson for [donating all three stipends] and for his time and being a donor fo[Image: Darrell Griffin]r all three stipends for the students of St. Helena Parish. [volunteering to judge] Mr. Richardson was the judge for St. Helena Parish Arbor Day Poster Contest.

Thanks to Bracy’s Nursery in Amite, for donating trees that were planted in St. Helena Parish Park.
