BRING A GENERATOR IF YOU NEED ELECTRICIITY. SECURITY WILL BE PROVIDED FOR FRIDAY NIGHT.
SHAVINGS WILL BE AVAILABLE. CONCESSION STAND IS ON GROUNDS.

SHOW RULES
· Ages 9-20, 4-H or FFA member

· Will follow LSU class break downs (with the addition of senior bull class “two year old”).

· Must have registration papers or pending papers from breed association.

· (PENDING PAPERS ALLOWED for 2009 SUMMER CALVES ONLY)

· ALL DECISIONS MADE BY JUDGES ARE FINAL.

· NO REFUND OF ENTRY FEE.

· CURRENT LOUISIANA HEALTH PAPERS ARE REQUIRED.

· May arrive on Friday between 4:00 and 10:00 p.m.

· Market animals will be mouthed at weigh in.

· Bulls will show first. Bulls must be shown with nose lead. (ALL AGES)

· Any dairy animal in a class younger than the junior 2 year old class that has calved will automatically be moved to the junior (2 year old) class.

· ANIMALS ARE RELEASED IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHOWING.

· Commercial heifer show will be blow and show. NO FITTING.

· Steers can show with hair or slick sheared.


SPECIAL NOTES

*Note: Only beef breeds with 10 or more animals that are pre-registered by November 1st will have their own classes. Breeds with less than 10 animals will show in AOB unless breed is sponsored (bull & heifer).

*Note: Only dairy breeds with 5 or more animals that are pre-registered by November 1st will have their own classes. Breeds with less than 5 animals will show in AOB unless breed is sponsored.

*Note: Only goat breeds with 5 or more animals that are pre-registered by November 1st will have their own classes. Breeds with less than 5 animals will show in AOB unless breed is sponsored.

DIRECTIONS

From I-49, take the US 190 West (towards Eunice) exit in Opelousas. Stay in left lane and drive through Opelousas (Landry Street). Once you pass the last stop light (Landry & Bullard), continue down Landry until you see the Louisiana Yambilee Building on the left. The Ag Arena is directly behind the Yambilee Building.
