[Image: Ryegrass]The Southeast Research Station has scheduled its fall field day from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2009.
An outdoor program will feature experimental dairy lagoons/dairy waste management research, oat ryegrass grazing with Holstein and Holstein x Jersey cows, and dairy feeding research. The indoor program will focus on economics of dairying and milk pricing.
A barbecue lunch will be served, and after lunch equipment dealers will demonstrate small-scale irrigation equipment, hay injectors, etc. There should be something of interest for all those working in dairy, beef and forages.
The Southeast Research Station is located on Highway 16 approximately 2 miles west of Franklinton and 18.5 miles east of Amite. For more details, see the program below.
