Recommended pasture and forage crop varieties are discussed in this newsletter, including cost of seed per acre, fertilizer, planting dates and production. Pest and weed control are included in some issues.

Some information is provided on the Master Cattle Producer Program which is designed to help cattle producers become more efficient and knowledgeable about all aspects of cattle production.

The Louisiana Calf to Carcass Project is discussed at length. This is an educational program through which feed out and carcass information is provided to producers to help them make management decisions on breeding, genetics, nutrition and herd health.
