Safety Contest Information
[Image: Link to Safety Record Book]4-H members play an important part in their own safety and the safety of those around them. St. James Parish 4-H’ers have a reputation of doing an outstanding job of making everyone more safety conscious. Members who wish to get started on safety projects should read their 4-H project books or search the Internet for ideas. There will be a Safety Poster Contest and a Safety Slogan Contest. A record should be kept of any and all safety projects or activities conducted or participated in. Pictures, flyers and other materials that show your work should be kept and placed in your Safety Records. Posters and slogans will be due January 28, 2010, and safety records are due March 30, 2010, along with completed portfolios/project books. This should give everyone a chance to write down everything done for safety, even after Safety Week.
- Keep a written record of all the things you are doing to help spread safety messages.
- Pictures of you in action will help make a better record.
- Do not forget to keep copies of any materials you give out when spreading the safety message.
