4-H Youth Development

The LSU AgCenter's 4-H Youth Development Program for St. John Parish is conducted by 4-H agent Kelly Camp with more than 489 youths enrolled. The 18 4-H clubs include: Garyville Magnet, St. Peter, Fifth Ward, Our Lady of Grace, Riverside Academy, Reserve Christian, West St. John Elementary, West St. John High, East St. John Elementary, East St. John High, St. Joan of Arc, Ascension of Our Lord, John L. Ory, LaPlace Elementary, Lake Pontchartrain Elementary, Christian Home Educator’s Fellowship, Leon Godchaux Junior High,  and the St. John Junior Leadership club. St. John 4-H includes the following programs:

  • 4-H Project Events and Activities
  • Career Exploration
  • Shooting Sports
  • 4-H Challenge Camp
  • 4-H Summer Camp
  • 4-H Gardening Project
  • Collaboration with Other Youth Serving Agencies and Camps

The St. John Parish 4-H Foundation is funded by United Way and supported by St. John 4-H Foundation Board, St. John 4-H Advisory Board and the LSU AgCenter.
