4-H Museum [Image: Museum]Visit the Louisiana 4-H Museum where you can explore the history of 4-H in in the state from its beginnings in 1908 as a “corn club” for rural boys to what it is today – an informal educational program with a wide variety of projects, camp experiences and curricula involving more than 225,000 boys and girls across the state each year. During the first 100 years of 4-H in Louisiana, it is conservatively estimated that more than 4 million Louisiana youth became involved in 4-H, either as an enrolled member or part of a 4-H program. That’s a lot of Louisianians touched by 4-H! Louisiana 4-H Museum Hours: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Please arrive no later than 3 p.m. to fully enjoy the self-guided tour of all the exhibits. Admission: $3 per person. Children under age 3 are admitted free. Turn RIGHT onto LA-114/E Main St.; continue to follow LA-114; travel 4.5 miles. Turn LEFT onto LA-107/L’Eglise St.; travel 1.1 miles. Turn RIGHT onto LA-1; travel 0.4 miles From Baton Rouge, La., via I-10 West On I-10 West, cross the Miss. River Bridge; travel about 0.5 mile. Merge onto N Lobdell Hwy./LA-415 N via EXIT 151 toward U.S. 190/Lobdell; travel about 3.5 miles. Take the U.S. 190 ramp and merge LEFT onto U.S. 190 W/LA-1 N; travel 11.3 miles.
