What is the St. Mary Parish 4-H Fashion Board?
The 4-H Fashion Board will promote the 4-H Clothing project and related programs and serve as an advisory group for the parish 4-H clothing program. Educational activities will be conducted as learning experiences for the fashion board members.
What are the objectives of the St. Mary Parish 4-H Fashion Board?
The 4-H Fashion Board experience will provide opportunities for 4-H members to:
-Develop leadership skills and build character
-Build self-confidence and poise.
-Develop skills and enhance knowledge in clothing and other related programs.
-Develop good posture and grooming habits.
-Explore clothing, textiles, marketing and merchandising careers
What are the responsibilities of a 4-H Fashion Board Member?
As a member of the St. Mary Parish 4-H Fashion Board, you must attend all 4-H Fashion Board meetings and activities. Meetings and activities will be held at the 4-H Office in Franklin or other assigned meeting locations.
You will be notified of the first Fashion Board meeting.
Community Service Requirement:
As a member of the St. Mary 4-H Fashion Board, you are required to assist with sewing workshops that will be conducted before the Fashion Review contest in December.
How can you qualify to serve on the 4-H Fashion Board?
1. You must be a paid 4-H member.
2. You must be a past and present contestant in the Fashion Review contest.
3. You must be enrolled in at least one of the following projects: Clothing, Personal Development, Public Speaking or Junior Leadership
4. You must complete and submit the attached 4-H fashion board application by October 15, 2009

6. You will be notified by mail if you are selected to serve on the 2009 St. Mary Parish 4-H Fashion Board.
