2008 St. Mary 4-H Decorated Cookie Contest Results
A new contest this year turned out to be a winner - a Decorated Cookie Contest. The contest was held on September 22, 2008, to coincide with the annual Sugarcane Festival.
Each 4-H'er was limited to one entry that was a sugar cookie made from scratch, no larger than 4 inches in size, and decorated in a 4-H theme.
A total of 53 entries were judged based on three criteria: taste, originality and appearance, and ability to follow instructions.

ELEMENTARY DIVISION
1st Place - Kalei Carello, Berwick Elementary
2nd Place - Kelsie Champman, M. E. Norman Elementary
3rd Place - Sabrina Guillory, Glencoe Charter
SENIOR DIVISION
1st Place - Kameron Clements, Hanson Memorial High School
2nd Place - Ashley Champagne, Hanson Memorial High School
3rd Place - Brooke Chauvin, Franklin Senior High School
Blue Ribbon Group - Rose Duchane, West St. Mary High School
