2008 Challenge Camp

4-H Challenge Camp employs the concept of adventure-based experiential learning which parallels the 4-H hands on, learn by doing philosophy. The challenge and adventure activities require the group to use the resources available to solve the task. This problem-oriented approach to experiential learning has proved to be useful in developing self-confidence, self-esteem, group cooperation skills, awareness of responsibility to self and others, decision making skills and many other positive behavioral changes.

4-H Members from the 7th Grade are selected randomly to attend 4-H Challenge Camp each year. Members who were selected to attend the 2008 4-H Challenge Camp included: Ashleigh Boudreaux, Allison Guillet, Brooke Guillet, Emily Guillet, Macayle Sullivan, Owen Edwards, Brett Guillett, Christopher Guillet, Gage Gottschalk, Hunter Harwell and Tanner Sharp.

4-H Agents Amy Long-Pierre and Bobby King attended with 4-H Members at Tickfaw State Park from Wednesday, April 2 through Thursday, April 3, 2008.
