Wednesday - Have 4-H member's dress in green and white or wear your favorite 4-H T-shirt.
Thursday - Bring green drink (Kool-Aid) to the teachers' lounge.
Friday - Bring 4-H (green and white) cake to teachers' lounge.

4-H Officers elected for the 2009- 2010 school year will be trained on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the Covington High School Auditorium in Covington. Each club's President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, CRD Chairman and Parliamentarian will be given specific responsibilities about their new offices. 4-H Leaders will also receive training to improve club meetings throughout the year. National Character Counts Week

National CHARACTER COUNTS! Week 2009 is a big event! More than 5 million young people in over 60 countries are expected to celebrate during October 18-24. The premise of CC! Week is to have fun, but the message is to strive for good character at all times in every situation. Neighborhoods and schools hold assemblies, stage parades, and host essay contests to galvanize citizens around their most important year-round task: teaching young people the Six Pillars of Character (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship). There’s a lot to celebrate with CHARACTER COUNTS! It’s a time to stress the benefits of character education.

4-H Enrollment Cards and Club Dues Deadline

4-H enrollment cards will be distributed to potential members at the September Club Meeting. The deadline to turn in enrollment cards and club dues is November 20, 2009. Parish 4-H dues are $7.00 per each child.
