2010 St. Tammany Parish Livestock Show
Covington Fairgrounds

Dates: January 27 - 29, 2010
- Parish Show Weigh-In will be on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
- Parish Show will begin on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
- Parish Livestock Sale will be on Friday, January 29, 2010. The dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the sale will commence at 7:00 p.m.
2010 Southeast District Livestock Show
Covington Fairgrounds
Covington, LA
Dates: February 2 - 5, 2010
What's new - Exhibition Poultry will be in the first split. They will show exhibition birds only, no broilers. The State Poultry Entry form will be used to enter your poultry. Overall Standard, Overall Bantam and Showmanship winners will be recognized. Proper health papers will be needed to get through the veterinarian check.

Hotel Reservations - Arrangements have been made with the Covington Holiday Inn to be the headquarters hotel for the Southeast District Livestock Show, February 2 - 5, 2010.
To get a special rate call and talk with KERRI COMEAUX, Sales Director, at 985-893-2336. Tell her you are with the S.E. District Livestock Show.
If you have families that have already booked at the Holiday Inn, have them call Kerri to get the better rate.
Camper Spaces - Those who want to rent camper spaces should contact Pat at 225-686-3020. It will be on a first come-first serve basis.

The 2010 Schedule of Activities for the State Livestock Show is available to download. Also below are the new health requirements provided by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry; some shows may have additional requirements.
In my August newsletter you were informed to register with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry as part of the Premises Identification Program. You will need to do this. The Web site is LDAF. You can download the form at the site.
The copy of the 2010 LSU AgCenter State Livestock Show catalog is now available online.
