4-H'ers attend Summer Camp!

[Image: Camp phote]Thirty-Two 4-H'ers from Tensas Parish enjoyed swimming, canoeing, archery, volleyball, basketball, softball, kickball, ping pong, parachute games, line dancing, drama, arts and crafts and much more during the first session of 4-H summer camp held the week of May 26 - May 30.  The camp is held each year at the LSU AgCenter's Camp Grant Walker located in Pollock.

One of the most valuable experiences a child can have is camping. It’s a learning experience that helps boys and girls appreciate the outdoors, live together as a group, get along with others and appreciate people with different interests and backgrounds.

Girls and boys in 4th, 5th and 6th grade are allowed to attend 4-H Camp each year.  The camp is located on an 80-acre site located near Pollock, La., on Highway 8 about 15 miles northeast of Alexandria.
