How can I control grassy weeds in my flower beds?

Question: How can I control grassy weeds in my flower beds?

Answer: Grassy (monocots) weeds growing in broadleaf (dicots) plants can be controlled by applying Fusilade (Fluazipop) or Vantage (sethoxydim) as per label directions. These are selective herbicides that only control grasses or monocots and will not harm broadleaf (dicots) plants such as Indian Hawthorn as long as label directions are followed.
