4-H Junior Leaders Plant Iris at State Park

Union Parish 4-H Junior Leaders Taylor Burns, Jason Jeffries and Bethany Rhodes plant native iris at Lake D’Arbonne State Park to help beautify the shorelines and to help prevent soil erosion. They will continue this project during a youth wetland camp to be held October 11-12 at the park. Forty Union Parish youth will participate in the youth wetland camp coordinated by Jean Gilstrap, America's Wetlands Conservation Corps worker, and Carol Remy, LSU AgCenter extension agent.
